Shaft Sprocket

A shaft sprocket, also known as a drive sprocket, is a wheel with teeth, cogs, or even links that is connected to a drive shaft for the purpose of transferring rotational force. It helps to drive belts, chains, and other mechanical linkages, a process known as power transmission, in order to move or control machinery and equipment. The sprocket wheel is usually larger than the sprocket teeth, so that all of the teeth engage with the mating teeth or links in whatever they are driving. This helps provide maximum torque and power output. Shaft sprockets are commonly made of metal or plastic, and treated with a special coating or finish to reduce friction, wear, and corrosion.
