Thermodynamic Steam Trap

A thermodynamic steam trap is a type of steam trap that uses a piston-actuated valve equipped with a thermal element to open and close the valve. The thermal element is a heat-sensitive device that reacts to the temperature difference between the hot condensate in the steam trap and the cooler steam passing through the trap. When the temperature of the condensate rises to a certain level, the thermal element activates the valve, allowing the condensate to be discharged. The valve closes when the temperature of the condensate drops. This type of trap is often used in industrial applications, such as steam boilers, to remove air and condensate from the system.
