Circulating Pumps

Circulating pumps are small, non-submersible water pumps used in large hot-water heating systems and forced-water cooling systems. Unlike jet pumps, which are used to suck water from deep wells, circulating pumps are used to move large volumes of water to and from a tank or collection area. The most commonly used type of circulating pump is a centrifugal pump, which is characterized by its spinning impeller blades. Centrifugal circulating pumps are usually equipped with a variety of features, such as adjustable pressure and flow settings, multiple speed settings and automatic on/off capability. Other types of circulating pumps include inline pumps, magnetic drive pumps and regenerative turbine pumps.
