Closed End Rivet

A closed end rivet is a solid metal rod with a closed head at one end and a shaft at the other. The closed end head is usually shaped like a dome or button and can be either plain or flanged. The shaft is usually cylindrical and is designed to pass through a hole in the piece of material being held together before the head is inserted. The head of the rivet will compress the shaft, creating a strong hold.
