Combat Robots

are robots designed to participate in organized competitions where the robots battle each other. Competitions typically involve two robots fighting in a large ring or arena to either knock one another out of the ring or incapacitate each other through sheer force. Robot combatants often feature a variety of weapons, such as steel smashable weapons, or flame throwers, as well as armor plating. Many of these battles are filmed as entertainment and aired on television. Such competitions are a part of a rapidly evolving technology and have been extremely popular since their emergence on the scene.
