Gearbox Parts

.Common gearbox parts include a gear housing, bearings, gears, shafts, pinions, and other related components. The gear housing is the outermost part and can be made of metal, plastic, or composite materials. Inside are the gears and related gears that rotate and move to control the operation of the gearbox. Bearings are sometimes used to keep the parts in place and to prevent excess wear and tear. Other pieces may include shims, spacers, springs, clutch plates, and levers. Depending on what the gearbox will be used for, other specialized parts may be needed.
