Pressure Sand Filter

These are very useful to get rid of the suspended matters. The PSF are very compact & easy to install without any maintenance cost. It can remove the Suspended matters at high flow rates and are easy to operate. The Graded river - stand is supported on different layers ofpabbles /gravels to work as filter media.

The water containing suspended particles is passed through PSF in downward direction during which the suspended particles are trapped on the and-bed and clear water is achieved at the outlet. For better filtering results through PSF, a coagulant like Alum is dosed prior to the filtration. The PSF are backwashed once in 24 hours to recommence the fresh filtration.

Activated Carbon filter

These are very useful to get rid of Odour, Organic matters and Free Chlorine present in water. The thick layer of Activated Carbon granuls supported on different layers of graded pabbles absorb these unwanted odour, organic matters, etc. The Water which is chlorinated to kill the bacteria are also passed through ACF to get rid of the chlorine odour.

Like PSF the water is passed in downward direction to produce the clear water. The ACF are to be back washed once in 24-hours to loosen the Bed.

Scope of Supply

• Mild Steel Pressure Vessel internally protected with anticorrosive. Epoxy Paint and provided with Inlet distribution and outlet collecting system.
• Set of Frontal Piping and Set of Valves including Main inlet, outlet, Wash inlet, Wash outlet, Drain, Air release & sample Valves.
• 2-Nos. Pressure Gauges with Isolating Valves.
• Initial Charge of filtering media for PSF & Initial charge of activated carbon for ACF and graded gravalsfor supporting bed for PSF & ACF.
