Product Description
Combined High-Low Pressure Fire Pump of capacity 2250 lpm @ 7 bar and 250 lpm @ 40 bar, with new generation Primatic Reciprocating priming system capable of priming from 7 mtrs at NTP conditions.
Specifications:
The fire pump is of high low-pressure (multi-pressure) type. The low pressure part (LP) of the pump comprises of a single stage closed impeller of centrifugal type made out of lead tin bronze confirming to Grade II of IS : 318-1981 and is hydraulically and dynamically balanced as per IS : 11723-1992 grade 6.3. The impeller is held in two wearing rings, which are of renewable type and are made of lead tin bronze. The high-pressure impeller is of regenerative type and is made special alloy having excellent abrasion resistance. The high-pressure impeller is mounted back to back of the low-pressure impeller and is mounted on a single shaft. The shaft is made of stainless steel confirming to I : 6603-1972 and runs in two heavy duty ball bearings which in turn are enclosed into a oil bath. The pump is of modular construction having delivery manifold to accommodate TWO nos. screw down type delivery valves of 63.0 mm size fitted with instantaneous couplings confirming to IS : 903-1993 and a water monitor outlet of not less than 65.0 mm. The pump has inbuilt filter of removable type to filter the water before entering into the H.P. stage impeller. Operation of HP to LP or LP to HP is made possible by actuation of a single lever and both the stages can operate either simultaneously or individually. The pump has an inbuilt pressure release valve (PRV) which operates automatically so as not to allow the high-pressure to increase beyond 45 kg / sq/cm. The high-pressure outlet size is not less than 25.0 mm. The pump is made out of light aluminum alloy duly heat treated unless otherwise specified. The bearing housing is made of C.I. The pump sealing is done by providing a self-adjusting mechanical carbon seal. The pump suction is of 100.0 mm provided with standard male round threads confirming to IS : 902-1992. The priming is effected by an water ring primer capable of priming the pump from 7.0 mtrs. within 30 seconds at NPT conditions. The primer is fully automatic in action.
Pump Performance :
The pump is tested for the following:
Technical specification of automatic ”primatic“ reciprocating piston priming system. The reciprocating system should be a new type of priming system and should be much advanced efficient, reliable and compact priming system. The priming system should be fully automatic in action and requires no attention whatsoever from the pump operator other than opening the delivery valves once the pressure is achieved in the pump.
The primer should be capable of working from 1000 rpm to 2,500 rpm. At normal temperature and normal condition (NTP) the primer at its optimum speed (2000 to 2400 rpm) should prime the pump from – 3mtrs within 16 seconds. 7.0 mtrs within 24 seconds.

Pump Performance :
The pump is tested for the following:
- Low pressure – 1800 TO 2250 lpm at 7.0 kg / sq.cm. (duty point)
- High pressure - 250 lpm at 40.0 kg/sq.cm. (max. thru high-pressure gun)
- Pump endurance test (continues running test) for 3 hours at duty point
- High pressure continuous running test thru high-pressure gun and hose reel at 30 bar for 1 Hour
- Deep lift test from 7.0 mtrs
- Hydro test of the pump assembly for 15 minutes at 15 kg / sq.cms
