Net metering enable customers to sell power generated through roof top solar power system to the DISCOM/ Electricity Board.
The power generated is fed to the main grid.
Requirements -

- Reverse current protection relay.

- ACDB of correct rating.
Safety is they key to installation, get it done through approved SPV EPC.
Solar energy meter measures the power generated and the same is reduced from the grid consumption and consumer has to pay only the balance charge of units consumed.
Grid Energy Meter (KWH) - Solar Energy Meter (KWH) = Net payable units (KWH).
The net KWH is payable as per slab specified by electricity board.
Bi directional energy meter can also be installed to measure units (KWH) consumed from grid power and generated by roof top on grid solar power system.
