How does it work?

At the heart of the solar kettle is the thermal vacuum tube, designed from extremely strong & heat-resistant borosilicate glass. It is this thermal tubing which absorbs the sun’s energy and converts it into heat. The outer tube is transparent in nature to allow the passage of light through with minimal reflection. The inner tube is coated with a special selective coating which features excellent solar radiation absorption and minimal emission/reflection properties. The space between the tubes is evacuated which minimizes heat loss. Due to the highly efficient insulation properties of the vacuum, the outer tube is cold to touch and easy to handle, even when the water inside the tube is boiling. Solar Kettle has reflectors that fold out during use to maximize the solar energy collected. The reflective wings improve the energy gathering efficiency by up to 3 times.
