Trunnion Ball Valve

A trunnion ball valve is a type of valve used in the oil and gas industry, as well as in many other industrial applications. This type of valve is designed to provide superior control of liquids, gases and slurry. It is comprised of two halves, one an outlet and the other a body, that are connected by a central axis (called a trunnion). The body is typically attached to a pipe or vessel and the outlet is connected directly to the actuator. The ball within the valve is pushed or pulled open or closed by the actuator, allowing the flow to be controlled. This type of valve is extremely reliable, and offers precise and consistent control of the medium.
